Brendan and Izzy’s couple shoot in the Edmonton River Valley was such a dream to capture. The natural beauty of the river valley provided the perfect backdrop for their session, creating a setting that felt intimate, peaceful, and effortlessly romantic. We spent nearly two hours together, which allowed the moments to unfold naturally, without any rush. Brendan and Izzy were so at ease with each other, and their genuine connection came through in every frame.
As always, I brought both my digital camera and my trusty 35mm film, and I couldn’t be happier with how their gallery turned out. The film photos added a timeless, nostalgic quality to their session, with warm tones and soft textures that made the quiet, candid moments feel even more special. Paired with the crisp detail of the digital images, the combination created a collection of photos that perfectly captured the essence of their love story.
Sessions like this remind me of the beauty of slowing down and letting the day flow naturally. Brendan and Izzy’s shoot was filled with laughter, tender moments, and a whole lot of love, and I’m so grateful I got to be the one to document it all in such a stunning part of Edmonton.
